We lost our sister. Our sister was truly one of the most amazing and inspiring women I have ever known.
Her passing yesterday will forever leave a hole in our family. She was a pillar of our entire family unit and could always be counted to bring everybody together and host family events with open arms or be at family gatherings wherever they occurred. She always made a point to be there with a smile and a magnetic personality that was a pleasure to be around.
More than anything else, her ability to be a positive force in the world was profound. She was medically dealt a bad hand and her ability to simply drive-on with hope, sheer will, grit, and a joking smile in the face of constant and impending medial disaster continues to leave me awe-struck. As illness crept in and disrupted one aspect of her body after another, she managed to push herself every day to continue living and find a silver lining of happiness with anything and everything. She had incredible discipline in not allowing her thoughts to dwell in negative places and I will forever want to follow her example.
If asked, there would be no question on what her best accomplishment was……her kids Caden and Lauren. Our sister was a loving mother who had a relationship with her kids that could be the envy of any mother. We will forever see Becky in them as she has clearly had a hand in molding them into the amazing people they are today.
I simply cannot find the words other than to say that we have lost an amazing person and although she is on her way to see Grandma and Grandpa with faith in her heart, we will forever miss her and I will always do my best to get up and drive on with a smile in the face of bad situations while always trying to focus on the things that bring me joy in life, just like she did.
She got life right and I miss her so much already
