Show me the Money Show

It’s a wrap for the Show Me The Money Show in Burbank.   With close to 6000 entries and lots of awards, including cash money, most everyone went home with a prize. The show was smoothly run with a great staff including; Heidi Lane, Casey Devitt, Hayden Jung, Don Crow, Lori Crow, Sean Dawson and Ron Coakley.

Extracurricular activities included, spinning the money wheel, picking fruit from the sponsor money trees and a free exhibitor dinner on the Saturday night.

The Pro/Am Ranch Riding/Ranch Trail class was a lot of fun. Some participants had fun competing in costumes. The first half of the class was a ranch riding pattern. The last maneuver for the ranch riding section was a dismount and ground tie. The second rider then rode the trail part of the pattern. Congratulations to Ryan Kail and Amanda Kemling on their horse Country Jazz for winning the Pro/Am Ranch Class. They won over 500.00 a free stall at the PCQHA CA Championship Show and A full Page ad in the Pacific Coast Journal.

The Follow the Money Trail Class had its debut this year.   A timed trail class with the fastest time and least penalties wins. Congratulations to David Busick on Rolex in Paris for not only winning the class, but also receiving the fastest time award and the high placing horse over 12 years of age award! Rolex in Paris is owned by Carolyn Quigley

Congratulations to Patrice Vernand on winning the High Point Professional Rider Award.   A Blue ribbon saddle was donated by Joan Saunders to honor the memory of Cherie Vonada. Cherie was an All Around Professional rider and All Around good friend to many. Cherie was a Director for SCQHEA and helped the success of the Show me the Money show and The Double Feature Shows for over 12 years

The West Coast Top Hand award was won by Jennifer Dawson on her horse Huckleberry Cat. The Top Hand award is awarded to the High Point Ranch Rider in the West Coast Ranch Horse approved classes.
