Show Me The Money PDF Print E-mail

Show me the money and I will show you a great show!  The sun was shining down on the LA Equestrian Center February 11 thru the 14th as more than 1200 class entries competed for cash prizes, silver buckles and more.

Congratulations to the All Around winners at the Show Me the Money Circuit: Novice Youth – Carla Ramsey and Zips Zippomatic, Novice Amateur – Mary Lou Dupray and Branded Invitation,  Amateur – Watch Me Im Hot  and Kim Portney. The High Point Walk/Jog rider was Cory Cansdale and RI Skys Big Rider.  Amateur All Around went to Kendra Luttio and Hezan Investment. The Youth All Around was awarded to Stephanie Kofu and Traveling Abroad. The 1000.00 dollar Circuit winner was Sayelotomylethalfrin shown by Tanya Brown and the 500.00 dollar winner was Zippos Petite Prince, shown by Kristen Thomsen.

The Limited Horse awards program was launched at the show and was well received.  The Limited horse program is for horses in their first or second year of showing, and never having won a year end Champion or Reserve Champion award.   It is not too late to compete for Limited Champion buckles as several shows are offering the Limited Horse classes.  The Spring Classic, The Showtime Classic, The Hollywood Charity and the Lights Camera Action will be offering Limited Horse Classes.

One of the highlights of the show was “Casino Night”.  Exhibitors enjoyed a complimentary dinner and then played at the gaming tables with the “funny money” they had won during the day.  The casino chips were traded in for raffle tickets and placed in drawings for over 25 fabulous awards: from an iPod boom box to a mason jar filled with cash.

Appreciation for the Show Me the Money sponsors was shown in many ways.  Personal starbucks coffee and pastries was served at their barn, gift baskets and parking spaces were a few of the perks.  Each sponsor also owned a racehorse for the Sweepstakes race run on Saturday.  Class sponsors got in on the horse race and the winning horse paid out over 1000.00 dollars.

Class Winners had fun on the weekend spinning the “Show Me the Money” Big CASH Spin Wheel to reveal their prize.

The show was a  PCQHYA Youth Qualifying show for the AQHYA World Championship Show.  The youth were out in full force and held a successful Valentine basket fundraiser.

Anne Dennis, voted Best Trail Course Designer by the PCQHA membership designed the trail courses and ran the trail arena.  She did a great job.

Show Me The Money Quarter Horse Circuit was brought to you by the SCQHEA.  SCQHEA is known for fun, well run, creative shows.
